Chris Goble is from Inez Ky. and has played music since he was 5 years old. He remembers the Bluegrass musician he met when he was five. James (Whitey) Howard and his dad had been childhood friends. Whitey and his band were playing in their homtown of Columbus Ohio at the time and Whitey and the band came to spend the night with Chris' family. Whitey use to tell the story of Chris dragging a mandolin through the house the next morning. Chris fell in love with music and especially bluegrass then. He started playing the mandolin, then on to guitar before settling on the banjo at about the age of twelve.

Chris played in several local bands and had his own band called Priority One for awhile. About 1998 Chris met Tommy Webb and they had a band for a few years called Onlyne. In 2004 Chris's house was destroyed by a flood and he had to stop playing music while he, with the much appreciated help of Family and friends, tore down the old house and built a new one. When that was close to being finished, Tommy Webb asked Chris to fill in for a couple of shows with The Tommy Webb Band. One or two shows turned to three or four till he was back with Tommy full time and enjoys every minute of it.

Chris spends lots of time working at his fulltime job, but also loves to spend time with his family and friends. He especially loves the time spent with his son, who loves bluegrass also and is becoming a good musician.

And Chris loves the time on the road with The Tommy Webb Band, performing and meeting old friends and making new ones.
